What's killing me more is that I asked my bank to order four boxes for me and I haven't been in to pick them up. I haven't had time...I don't want to tarnish my relationship with them! Thankfully I saved their butt when they ordered 1,000 in pennies instead of 100 in pennies on accident. The manager likes me. (I've also never dumped there) I told my wife I wouldn't do any more boxes until I dumped my zincolns. I now have $225 in loose zincolns in the basement in 5 gallon buckets. My copper pennies are going to be my new 401k I think. My IRA is worth half of what I put in it and my 401k hasn't earned anything but is holding steady...at least with the pennies they are always worth a penny. I'll just have to rent a dump truck and a backhoe when it's time to retire. Report this Post to the Staff

Thats $50 Me: No its $25 Teller: Oh, right. I dont think we have a box. Me: well can I get rolls? Teller: Yes I dont know if we have $25 in rolls (tellers conversing and putting together a box of pennies) Teller: What are you going to do with all those pennies? Me: (I recite coin collector line that some of us do) Teller: Some older gentleman brought in full rolls of wheats, I gave them to you. Me: (I had noticed very old looking wrappers) Yes I noticed the old looking wrappers Thank you I get back in the car and open one roll, all wheats, the oldest is 1926. Cravenfan07 Valued Member United States 92 Posts	Posted 08/27/2011 3:11 pm To add to the recent rash of Indian Head discoveries: 3 weeks ago, Brinks box: 1904 (slightly corroded) 2 weeks ago, Garda bag: 1897 (oldest find of any kind for me) A bunch of common wheats too, plus 1916, 1917S, 1929S, 1938D. Not too shabby - also got a 1937 Canadian. I just need a 38 to complete the main run from 37-2011 (also got 2001 from same box as 1937!) - Scott Report this Post to the Staff

rachums107 Pillar of the Community United States 3345 Posts	Posted 08/27/2011 10:54 pm Is this a 1972 DDO? I only started checking for these tonight. This is literally the second one I checked. Grade and rough value? I'm guessing MS 60 and numismedia says $350 but with the spot I'm geussing more like $250. My camera's terrible so PLEASE blow the pic up! I saw the same die gouges above TRUST and the doubling looks the same. I know it's not worth that much, but its still really cool IMO. Box down: This is by far the best box I have ever had. $25 worth of CWR wheats: 251 copper-not including wheats: 25.8% including wheats: 35.8% oldest: 1917 foreign: 50 ore Sweden 2007, 2004 Bermuda one cent, one penny Britain and then the pick of the day... well you probably already saw the post 1972 DDO-008! a friend for my lonely 1982 no P dime Here it is (well this is the variety not the actual coin but mine looks almost exactly the same) look especially at "TRUST" and "WE" http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=mds I only started checking for these tonight, and this was the second coin I looked at. Believe me, I checked all the others I could find after that! The wheats: all common dates, 3 hole fillers and a bunch of upgrades I need to sort out I would estimate about 49.5% were D mints, %50 were P mints and the rest were S mints (only two, one was a hole filler) All in all a good day to pass the hurricane Report this Post to the Staff

I have found 14 wheats, 1936, 39, 44x2, 46S, 51S, 53S, 54S, and several later dates. First time for me to see so many S mint wheats in a box. And also a new roll-high of wheats for me--3 in a roll. the total copper is around 19%, already higher than average here. Report this Post to the Staff
