I only picked out about ten wheats from my last two boxes but one of them was a 1939d so I'm happy.

i havent found any in a while.not had time to search.but have found 10 or maybe a few more 99 Wide AM,s and probably 100 each of 98,s and 2000,s so they are out there.later greg |

Highlights though is the 09vdb and 55s (which looks better than almost every cent after 1993 we have searched. Haven't had the success as some I've read here but still 200 or so more rolls to go. Great finds everyone. Got an English Half-Penny last nite. Do they still use them? What can they be worth in regular currency? We lost our half-cent about 150 years ago.

Well, there were two different types of British half-pennies. The sterling kind, which was used until about 1968, is the size of a quarter. The second kind was a lot smaller, maybe..dime sized? I'm not sure; never seen one. Neither one of these coins is legal tender anymore, so any value they have is numismatic and depends on the type and date. |

I grew up in the UK and these were no longer legal tender but most people had a bunch laying around - myself included. I still have a bunch.

Thanks Gothic Florin. I just think it curious that they still made coins with little or no value that no-one used. It is a nice looking coin for the collector though.
