I keep every 2009 cent except LP2's that aren't BU. Oh yeah, and any 2009 D's, BU or not.

Blakesley effect is caused by a clip. When the edge is rolled, lack of metal caused by the clip allows the opposite side to bulge sideways. It's a planchet issue. Cuds are caused by metal bulging upwards because a chunk of the die isn't there to stop it. It's a die problem. There's no bulge at the rim, because the collar is still there to stop the metal. |

I realized somthing fairly interesting tonight, After I finished sorting tonights pennies I decided to organized my wheats. I have Nearly 2x as many 40's then 50's, and I almost have as many 30's as I do have 50's. I have nearly $9 fv worth of wheats so I have a good diverse collection. Any one else have any results such as this?

I found a 1971P DDO, its the good one!    I almost missed this one because my eyes where getting tired. I wasnt sure, so I put it aside and came back to it later. Coppercoins.com was a huge asset for confirming. |

is it common for cents to have that rim like that 71 DDO ,is it from the die not being propperly centered? just wondering cause I see it alot in the cents I search through. |
