Is it me or is there doubling on the obverse in the date, the motto above Lincoln, and on every letter on the reverse? Is that Machine Doubling? Nope, that's a large date for sure. The odds of finding a red small date are incredibly small. I highly recommend buying a small date so you have one for reference, ditto with the 1970-S small date. Both are inexpensive but well worth having around for reference if you're a collector. |

Its pretty easy to find a 1960D small date. Just keep one of those around for comparison. Soon you will see the difference. Looking at D minted SD is how I learned. Now I can usually figure it out pretty easy.

Cool topic. The coolest thing I found searching penny rolls so far is a 1982-s that is deep cameo - I can see my reflection in the coin- I've alsoo found several circ wheaties and pre 1982 BU's

I found a New Mexico counterstamp. That's my 5th counterstamped cent, but first that isn't Kennedy.
I also found a decent die clash. How common are those?

just went through 2 boxes.. founds a good amount of wheats.. the best years were 1920,1926, 1927, 1930.. lots of AU 1960's pennys too and 59's.
