Client just deposited $50 face value of unopened bank rolls. They are all 1983d and they all look to be in great condition straight from the fed. Any value to these above face?

I doubt if this is yours. Just found it this morning from a Brinks shrink wrap with very dirty coins inside. Feels like they have been rolling around in charcoal.

Gret finding everyone.

Jdot, that's a tough question, which I don't have answer. I however, do know that I would need some of those rolls for my "Set of BU LMC rolls" that I've been working on. May be I should put up a want list for those that I'm missing.....

With all these spectacular finds being reported, I am going to have to go back to roll searching cents!

Would love to find some early dates, doubling, missing anything, unusual, Indians, anything....!

Greetings all,

Have not posted much lately but have still been searching boxes or bags weekly. Week before last while I was in our bank getting change for work I noticed the manager running coins through their highly antiquated coin sorter - and a lot of them. I inquired and discovered the local grade school had had a penny wars tournament. Told them I would probably be picking those bags up. Sure - no problem. Two days later was in - inquired how many they had. Three. I'll be in tomorrow!

I think they were shocked when I took all three bags the next day - but relieved at the same time! Two bags were from the penny wars batch, one from preexisting customer deposits. I would love to say the penny wars bags were treasure troves - they were not. Twenty-seven wheats total, including a 1920 and a 1943, as well as a penny from the Bahamas (which sadly I already had!). Onto the third non wars bag. Quite a bit better comparatively. This bag produced twenty wheats including a 1917S, a two Euro from the Netherlands, and the big surprise a 1904 Indian. This is my fourth Indian from circulation and my second from 1904. Always a thrill though - and in quite better shape than the other one I have. Thanks for letting me share - great finds everyone - it really is a blast!

- Scott

Tally from the past three weeks (three bags, two boxes, about $15 in rolls, and some loose work change) :
Wheats: 72 (highlights 1943, 1917, 1917S, 1918 x2, 1920)

'S' Mints: 49 (all business strikes)

Old Canadian: 23 old style Elizabeths and nine dove bicentennials

Other: Seven 1960D small dates, 2000 WAM, 1983 Cud, 1975D Liberty Bell/USA Counter Stamp, Two Two Cent Euros (France & Netherlands, Bahamian Penny, and of course - 1904 Indian

Is very nice to work in contact with coins I also go trhough a lot of coins every week at work as I work on mcdonalds everyday in 4 different registers and open many rolls per day .
Today I found out the rolls my manager got from pnc bank (our change provider ) it was most of someone's else hoard of wheaties , I saw about 6 wheaties on one of the drawers the I checked other one and saw more so I opened one roll with about 15 wheaties but all 40's,50's I look in the safe and found 2 double ender rolls so I trade for 2 rolls from my car and bought all the coins end up with 60 LWC's the oldest was a 39 the rest all from 40 to 57 !
Im starting to hoard wheties again arghhh !

@RicardoCody Nice haul there!

At least you are not like most of America, left holding a massive credit card bill and nothing to show for it but empty containers of Starbucks coffee in your car
Rest in Peace

The 51st state won't have a bicentennial until 2067.
