Does it count if you find them a second time? Last night I found a small box-o-cents I forgot I had buried under rolls of other coins. It had about 40 wheat cents, 2-3 steel cents, about 25 S-mint cents, and a nickel-coated PMD 1955 cent all of which I found roll searching last year, but completely forgot I had. I was able to use the stash to fill a few holes/upgrades in some of my 2nd and 3rd tier Lincoln cents folders. |

Jdot its not about luck its about how many you search ; yesterday I searched $200 in cwr's and today I'm got $48 more in cwr's so far today I found one more 1919d in vg to fine ,a ms-2000 WAM (with a tiny verd on argh!) plus more LWC's so we might have more pics to see today if finish before work ! PS: btw nobody said anything about the 1926S keydate I posted above ? Come on guys dont matter the condition its a key date so give me some love lol or maybe the pics are so bad that you couldnt make the date ?! |

I thought it was 1920 with some damage and I was a bit more focused on the 1909. Throwin some love your way.  Ha ha I finally get to use that one. |

Well, for my bday last week I got a dud box of dimes as a present. I called my bank and asked them as a favor to order me in ten boxes of cents in exchange for the box of dimes....wish me luck...they come in next tuesday

Yep ! The date id lil damaged even more odd is the fact not only one but 2x 1926S in the same batch just look at the pics again !

Iv been doing the penny thing lately, I do 81 and earlier into one pile, wheaties into one, 82/83 in a seperate pile. Is this right? I have found a 1972 think it is what you guys call a Greaser, just has 197 for the date, and god we tru, the rest didnt stamp, lincoln is there. Also got one worn down Wheat penny like on this page of the thread. Nothing good on the wheats, oldest was 1914. Iv done 8 boxes so far, and got 4 more now. Also I got half a box of 2011, brand new in s and s wrappers, and today one box is 2012 all brand new sealed, should I keep them? wasnt gonna open the 2012, its from philly no mint marks. |

oh yeah are s mints good to save? I know I saw some decent s mint 70's I threw in the cooper pile.

Check the 70s for small date . I just finish the cwr's nothing special , only the 19d ,98wam and 00 WAM now dump and get more cwr's ! Good luck all ! |

Congrats Ricardocody...Those are some really nice finds. I didn't notice the date of the other difficult coin to identify until you mentioned it. Great finds in the wild, no matter the condition. Speaking of the 70S small date, I wrote out this long post about how I've started looking at cents. Been posting on other threads but new to cents. Anyway somehow my post didn't get posted. So, part of my post was about how I found a 1970S small date. Now, I know people might be skeptical but I'm new to pennies, not looking for errors on coins. I broke out the Red Book which has some pretty good pictures of both the small and large date. I also grabbed another 1970S for comparison. I'm 99.99% sure its the real deal. Oh, and to preempt the "I need photo's" posts, I don't really know how to use the camera. I may try and use my wife's Iphone to post a picture but not sure how much good a camera phone will be at showing a variety coin. Anyway, cents have been fun and my 4 year old daughter loves looking for the wheat's so I will definitely keep searching. Owassokie |

Just got through another $5 worth of penny rolls. Found a 68-S a '69-S and a '71-S.  Always nice to find some S coins since they seem to be pretty scarce in Nebraska. |
