My store just got a new manager, who has apparently been providing us change either from his other store, or from the bank the other store uses (each store in the chain uses the closest bank, so some of us use WF, some BofA, etc.). I was nervous because the rolls of cents we got appeared to be hand-wrapped, instead of our usual Brinks rolls, and . . .
Wherever we got them, I want more! I opened six rolls ($3) of pennies yesterday and found eight(!) 2009s--more on that in a minute--and two wheatheads!
So now, more on the 2009s--they were split pretty evenly among P1, P2, and P3. I'm trying to amass a tube each of near-uncirculated or better of each variety (except the P4s--after a year I still don't even have a full tube of "every P4 I've ever found," so I'll worry about the "near-uncirculated or better" part when I get that far, shall I), and while it's easy to find P3 with no black spots, and fairly easy to find P2 with no black spots, it's just about impossible to find P1 with no black spots (especially on and around the cabin). Guess what . . . not one but three P1s, all of them without black spots. ALL of them! From a single night's worth of rolls!
