Pretty sure it's a die crack, but resembles a lamination up close.
The doubled ear is below the lobe.

Before I tossed this coin back, I would like to know what happening with this coin? The bust is faded, is it Lincoln gosh? The size is same as Dime size, smaller than regular Penny. The edges is smooth like other Pennies. I got it from my previous penny search.

jdavis18, Thanks for your respond. What do you mean? It is coming out the drier? Will the coin shrink in the drier? Or is there any industrial drier I didn't know? I would like to learn.

Just finished my first month of CRH. July totals: $210 pennies searched (plus 2 small change jars of Mom/Aunt) $35 in copper 79 wheats including 1919S, 1920, 1926, 1928S, 1937 and a nice shiny 1952. Found 3 1998 WAM. Just starting my collection so filled in lots of holes. Included also in the $110 was a full box of 2012D pennies.

https://goccf.com/t/125789Got this today (not from a roll, but from the gas station) anyone have any experience with these? ..... @ Samuel Tan - Dryer Coin is a coin that was stuck in a dryer - it does shrink... so to speak... the constant pounding spinning, and rubbing condense the metal and as a result gives it a smooth surface... the rim will be reduced a bit as well hence the "shrinkage" as George Castanza would say.
