Yes, the 1930S. Thanks. Found in a clear-wrapped roll from Wells Fargo. I usually go through 20-30 rolls a week. Since starting I've searched ~400,000 cents. I've had slightly better luck with bank-wrapped vs. customer wrapped, but have found good stuff in both.

Took a family vacation to Indianapolis last weekend. Picked up 11 boxes of cents while I was there, I am still looking through them all, but here is a picture of my 9th Indian head added to my collection. Unfortunately it is my 3rd 1896. It's always nice to save some nice coins from circulation, especially when they are not from your local pool of coins.  Edited by tuleja

@DrDon I look for the 1970s small date, but nothing else.
@BadThad No, I didn't really think it would be worth my time. I don't really like to collect new cents. I only really like to collect old coins. I do collect the varieties obviously, but I usually sell off my duplicates.

wow nice S cents ijn and always a good day when you find a indian! nice find tuleja ....wow that is a lot of boxes of cents copper crazy...how do you search them all that fast, I guess it is summer haha...you should also be on the look out for really nice 2006 pennies and check those for double dies there are some good ones for that date and the 1972 that one is noticeable with the naked eye and the 1969 s noticeable with the naked eye...pretty rare though....also some good varities with the 82

Ok so I just picked up a dream box basically. There are 7 wheat Enders on one side and I am 5 rolls in with 49 wheat pennies.

In addition to the desirable older dates, errors, etc., I hang on to coins with eye appeal--at least those that appeal to me. The 1988D 'bubble' coin looks much better in hand than the photo.

Searched 10 rolls and found this.... Wonder how a 45 year old coin shows up in a bank wrapped roll in this condition. Are bags of near mint condition coins >40 years old just laying around out there? I have dozens like this or better from the late 50s....  |

19th box, nothing spectacular. Wheats: 1941 x2 1944-D x1 1945 x1 1945-D x1 1946-D x1 1946-S x1 1950-D x2 1956-D x1 TOTAL: 10 Canadians: 1966 x1 1970 x2 1979 x1 1982 x1 1988 x1 TOTAL: 6 And I also got a plastic play penny  |
