1 box of cents. Decent amount of wheats including a 1916D and a red 1964 Canadian and a 1951 I needed to fill a hole in my set. I went through the pile of cents that had been building up and filled a few holes in my Lincoln Cent album. Only 13 more to go including the affordable 1954, 1931D, and 1970S small date. The rest will have to wait.

Quote: Wonder how a 45 year old coin shows up in a bank wrapped roll in this condition It's always surprising! People leave jars laying around for decades and then cash them in.

Finally finished this box of pennies that has taken me two weeks to finish. Couple neat finds, though.
Wheats 1934-P 1944-P 1951-D 1954-S 1956-D
Canadians 1951 (My oldest find so far) 1973
Also came across a 1974 Bermuda cent which was an interesting find, a lightly circulated 1960 large date and a magnificent BU 1961-D. Just as shiny as one of those new 2013 cents. Went immediately into my book.

Those types of old containers have been by far the best searching for me. Somewhere buried in this thread I probably posted about my friend that had HUGE coin stashes about 30 years old. He let me go through everything and keep what I wanted. I got bomb loads of BU 1970-2000 cents and nickels. The best find was a 1999 CLAM in MS-63. With his coins, I significantly increased the quality of my Lincoln BU roll set. I don't think there are any coins under MS-64 in the entire set with most being 66+.

Started bag of pennies. Top of bag was loaded with wheats. Cherry picked 90 out of the top 20% of the bag (50$ bag). Dumped the rest of bag out and it was loaded. Had to quit to put daughter to bed. She was thrilled pulling the wheats out. It was easy for her. I am guessing there will be several hundred. Best yrs so far are 33 and 34. Higher percentage of 40's than 50's which is odd. Oldest was 29. Need to get to bank and buy all their penny bags tomorrow in case it carries over. Will post final tally as I finish

I tried my first box of cents today only to find that 47 of the 50 rolls were shiny new 2013-D. And the 3 rolls that were not 2013 were still mostly newer cents. I've still got a box of dimes to finish going through so hopefully those pan out better.

Found a few cool things in my last box. This canadian error. Struck through something? not sure what though. This little critter.. He's an Echidna I guess. This is the reverse of a 1945 wheat. I had a picture of the front, but it isn't here for some reason. I thought it was pretty nice.

Nice find on the red wheat! Very hard to find ANY wheat in red from bank boxes.

I went through my 2nd box of cents last night. This one was better than the last, but still not very good. I found one Wheat cent, 1 1947 in the very last roll I searched. I found about 10% Copper in this box.
