Blueish purple 1989 zincoln box find. I usually don't keep PMDs but this was kinda cool.

I have a lot of tubes simply labeled "toners/misc" for cool and interesting stuff I find. I have quite a few of those purplish coins. Hey, that's the whole point of collecting - collect what YOU like. The deal is sweetened when you pay ONE CENT for something cool.

Found a few other beauties today. Trying to figure out if they are proofs or just nice coins? Any thoughts on grades?

NICE BU 1968! Let's see the reverse.

Did you know that 68-S is the lowest mintage Memorial cent? The 1968P is the 17th lowest.

These are the "key dates" for memorial cents in terms of mintage. Al less than 1 billion made:

1968 S 261,311,510
1973 S 319,937,634
1972 S 380,200,104
1974 S 412,039,228
1971 S 528,354,192
1969 S 547,309,631
1960 P 588,096,602
1962 P 609,263,019
1959 P 610,864,291
1970 S 693,192,814
1961 P 756,373,244
1963 P 757,185,645

Looks to be MS63-64 or so, pics are too small to be more exact. I've seen dealers selling these for $0.50 -$1.

I was able to pick up a BU roll of 1960 Large Date cents and a BU 1963 roll for 90 cents each. Not to get off topic, but I wonder why some of the lower mintages such as those two are in such low demand amid their lower mintage versus other copper Memorials?

Ever since I picked up CRH, I have been using cash a lot (more change that way!).

Received my first wheat back in change this morning... 1934.

Cool find! Impossible to find a Wheat penny with your credit card! Random pocket change coins are great.
