Thanks Aslan - I'm with Shadz; I wish they would all look for us like that. Why not? Good people, good homes, lots of old buddies to be around....to be so lucky!

I found a dime in a penny roll once and I have no idea what happened to it . I think its an error bit I'm not sure. I still only got it for a penny! Here is the link to the post https://goccf.com/t/172023

I just had my best box of all time! (I haven't kept track but I have probably been through 20 boxes) So here is a picture heavy post.

35 LWCs (Oldest 1936)
6 Canadians
4 Amazing 1960 LDs (The best one is here https://goccf.com/t/172130)
2 Shiny 1963-D (possibly plated)
1960-D LD RPM (I couldn't identify it)
and a 1971-S RPM (although it could be punch damage)

Nice mix jdavis18! I found a couple 60s cents with the same luster, so probably normal and not plated.

This week's STATS â€" 5000 cents
• 22 LWC (1909 VDB/EF+, '35, 7 ‘40s, 13 ‘50s) Great find; below average yield
• 6 S mint LMC (68-73) No Small Date; 68 & 70 AU
• 50+ LMC @ AU+ including 9 - 2009 P/D
• 19 Foreign Cents (18 Canadian, Bahamas); Nothing old
• 9 potential error coins that I'll need to look at closer

wow awesome reverse on that vdb, it is so clear.

just did a box, and it was good! after a few boxes with 0 wheats, and 1 this weekend that was 2014, I got a nice box with 17 wheats in it, oldest 1938, and 2x 1939. an au 55d as well. nice to be added to the pile again.

would lose my mind to find an 09 vdb!

I hope you do skibdib...find a VDB that is!! This was a larger than normal bank lot for me. I suspect the folks here doing boxes cover more ground in a week than I do in a month. Better odds that you will find a gem or two. Best of luck to you!!

Finished a box last night, but havent had a chance to sort the keepers, but was surprising lots of wheats in comparison. might have been my biggest haul of that at around 20. Will post details later when I finish sorting this box of halves. Not sure why I opened two boxes at once, must have been very tired.

Does this mean wheats are climbing their way out of hiding now? Should I skip my next box of halves and get $500 in pennies instead?

EDIT: 22 wheats 2 Canadians

1944 S oops, already have that in my book.
1939 S HOLE FILLER!

2 other S from the 68-74 range.

Mine is a decade later and no VDB but it was on the END of the roll and is in decent shape!
There is a VDB, it is just on the wrong side.

Look what I found today!

It was funny seeing this wild Indian in with all the Memorials and Zincolns! She's my oldest roll find and oldest U.S. coin, combined.

checked yesterdays pocket change and 2014. already looks a good bit dirty. Must have had a hard journey to get into my pocket. Now I have a feeling that I will be flooded with them since the first one has turned up.

Searched my first box of cents, pulled 9 wheats (oldest a '41), 14 Canadians (oldest a '56, also a '67), 10 various '09s, 1982 D small and large dates, and a couple with interesting toning! Cents are fun!
