something special with 82-D or jsut ones you need or like? I am still keeping all 82's just because I haven't bother to check which is which for my holes yet. Cents are fun. I jsut wish I could get a large amount and get some hole filler of Canadians.

Regarding the 1982s - the LD copper and zinc are pretty prevalent and make up the vast majority for the year. I class those C. 1982 D LD coppers and 1982 SD zinc are next prevalent; I class those B. 1982 D LD or SD in zinc and 1982 SD coppers; I class those A. For Class B and C, unless the coin is AU, I'll toss it back. Class A 1982s I'll generally cull out unless they are rotted or nasty. Finding 1982 D LD or SD has proven pretty difficult; can't recall of the top of my head, but I think I've only found 2 '82 D SD zinc and 3 '82 LD zinc up to this point. The SD coppers are more prevalent than the D mints in these parts, but maybe 10 or so of those since returning to CRHing a few weeks ago. Happy hunting folks!!

My bank forgot to order my halves for last week so I picked up a box of nickels and $21 in cents. For the cents, I only found 2 Wheats in total, a 1941 & 1955, 2 Canadian, and 13.7% Copper. I was a bit disappointed with these rolls, but hopefully they will have my halves today.

It was funny seeing this wild Indian in with all the Memorials and Zincolns! She's my oldest roll find and oldest U.S. coin, combined.

NICE FIND! It's in good shape for a roll find too!

did a bag plus this morning. nothing of major interest. Pennies have been pretty tame for me the past month or two. about due for a big hit of wheats.

Today I got given to me, what appears to be, 5 rolls of new 2013 uncirculated pennies. Should I open the rolls? Save the rolls? Open some and save a couple?

Just my opinion. Save one roll, open the others. Keep the best, spend the rest.

Searched two $25 CRW boxes:

1st box:

32 2009 cents - only 1 formative years (2009 D)
10 Canadians - oldest 1964
1982 D small & large date
12 wheats - 3 30's, 1 1927

2nd box:

18 2009 cents - only 1 formative years (2009 D)
10 Canadians - mostly newer
10 wheats - 2 30s

I think I need to get a Wheat cent folder for all these wheats! I'm liking cents a lot!

Should we be holding on to 2009's? And is the "formative years" good or bad?

Found a die crack on a 1952 D; any value to these kinds of errors? Sorry, brand new to the forum and I can't figure out how to upload a photo.
