I'm getting more like a 95-5 split copper to zinc. Hardly ever find zinc, really weird. Mostly 82 LD copper, with a few LD zincs. Very hard to find SD of any kind, and 82D's are really scarce, but of course I only live about 1.5 hours from philly.

Recent box only 4 wheats(1919,1944d,1945,1952D), 2 canadian cents, and and few nice 60s coins I'm keeping. But other than that nothing unusual.

Finally found a 1915d, filled a hole in my album. Last one was 1936d which was found 9 months ago. It gets harder and harder to fill the remaining 20-some holes.

I know what you mean. I don't remember the last hole I was able to fill. Do find some upgrades though.

Terrific to hear you folks are still into the challenge - I'm very lucky that many of my album holes were filled almost 4 decades ago when pickings were much better. I still get a thrill finding a tougher date even if it isn't better than the one I have.
Keep at it and the best of luck everyone!

I went to my grandfathers house over spring break and he had a fairly old box of pennies (65 percent copper) and I found 2 1909 wheat cents neither are vdb or S and I found one 1920. I also found multiple other wheat's in the 30's 40's and 50's

Quick sort of my latest box gave me 1 canadian, and a dozen wheats. 1925 seems to b one of them but it needed a quick dip in some vinegar and a gentle finger fubbing to remove some greening so I can read the year. now sitting in a wad of toilet pape to absord the scalding hot rinse water until my fingers stop hurting and can try to read it again and possibly put it in its hole.
was a good trade a box of searched for a box with a dozen wheats and a canadian. now if I can do that with the other 3 boxes of pennies I have, that would be even better and jsut keep traing old boxes for new and recycle them all until I find what I need.

OK - is there a mint mark to the north of the D? Doubling of the date? May just be a glare from as shiny coin. But worth a second look. Let us know.

4 '82 zincs. Are any of these good? Still couldn't get a good photo of that D mintmark. Even under 40x magnification.
