Hi Slur - the LD zincs are readily available. The Small Date D mint is a tougher find, perhaps second toughest of the 7 here in Connecticut.

None of the 82's are really rare, but there seems to be 'regional' scarcities. For instance, I'd have a tough time finding that 82D small date zinc in my area. I find mostly 82(P) large date coppers.

Wow, pretty lucky to have found this here! I hope it's not zinc rotting yet, the colour near the rims seem a little odd...

4 '82 zincs. Are any of these good?

The only time these are worth saving is when they are in full red, mint state.

Got this in change today.

It's always surprising how many 50+ year old cents are still red!

a great day of coin hunting today. Along with a merc found and posted in the dime thread, today in a box I found 20 wheats, and my 2nd indian head!

It just kinda rolled out, reverse side up again like last time. I put it in a 2x2. I couldn't believe it!!

did one more box this morning and came up with 10 wheats, and a 1940 canadian. In the wheats was a BU 1957, a 34, and 2x 1937. Pretty good box.

Well got a nice surprise today, was able to trade a searched box of pennies for a sealed one. The box was a new style at the bank, and the rolls themselves look the same except they no longer say "String & Sons" on them, they say "LOOMIS". None checked yet because I am waiting on my box of halves, but no enders on the tops of the rolls, but all are mixed.

Wonder why they changed boxes and wrappers?

shadz - just noticed your 1889 Morgan find; CRHing, metal detecting, or something else? Interesting.
