Surprisingly, a few minutes after I made my last post I found an amazing 1974 D. Maybe these pictures can give you a little idea... I have it next to a decent 1966 and below average 1975 D for a comparison. It is almost certainly the best pre-1982 LMC I have found. uncle bob Valued Member United States 80 Posts	Posted 05/09/2015 12:29 pm I went through $25 of pennies yesterday and found the following: 58D 2 57D 3 52D 2 51D 1 50D 1 48 1 47D 1 46 1 45 1 44 1 35 1 19 1 18 1 and 2 Canadian 63 & 66 plus one so covered with crud I can't tell what it is, other than a Wheatie. So my question is what should I use to try to clean it up to at least see the date? I'm not trying to conserve a valuable coin. It's more than likely a fifty something D anyway and will never be worth more than a penny I'm sure. If it is a rare date, no one would ever know if I don't clean it up so it would still only be worth a penny down at the Circle K in its current state. The 1919 is also covered with gunk so I probably would try to spruce that one up a bit too, just for the fun of it. Thanks in advance for any advice. Report this Post to the Staff

o-train Pillar of the Community Canada 519 Posts	Posted 05/09/2015 7:42 pm Recently picked up 4 bags and 30 rolls of pennies and my best American find in a while just came while searching the third bag so I thought I would share. Found 10 wheat cents including a 1926 and this 1923S. The 23S is a hole filler which makes another 28 to go for a complete set of wheat cents. Report this Post to the Staff
