Rackster, if I find an IHC that will definitely be a great moment for me. But until then I have another good find to report that happened about 15 minutes ago!

I just found my first "s" mint Wheat cent... actually three of them, with two being in the same roll!

I also found a Canadian cent with interesting toning. Hard to get it on the picture though.

Did $10 to pass the time during a release. Found a 1950-S, '64 canadian, a solid handful of copper, and a zincoln rotted right through to the other side. Other than that, it seemed to be somebody's dump... wheats are rarely that scarce unless the rolls have already been picked through.

I am going to be doing two boxes of pennies this weekend since my mom will be visiting (she collects the wheats in a Whitman album). My first time doing a box! Will update if we find anything. :)

Good luck Mr. Kairu!

5/18 CRH results

2500 CWR Cents searched

11 LWCs (1918, 1942S, 1944D best of the bunch)
54 LMCs (many AU samples mostly Zincolns)
3 S Mint LMCs
11 Foreign (all Canadian, common cents)
48 Error/Variety specimens (several minor DDRs)

Last two CRH events were with CWRs. CWRs can be interesting but also tend to be lopsided. I could tell there were at least 3 sources in this latest bunch two of which had several 80s and 90s coins in BU condition. The third group had many corroded specimens from the drink holder of someone's car. A quick demise for many specimens! I'll have to spend a few hours seeing if any of the DDRs are listed items at Coppercoins, but that's half the fun. A couple trail coins and clash coins to type as well. So no complaints. here are a few of the interesting finds -

Just got back into coin roll hunting after an extended absence. I went through 20 rolls of cents today and got wheats in decent condition:

1937
1940
1940-D
3-1941
2-1942
1944
1945
1946
1949
1951
1951-D
3-1953-D one with luster
1956
2-1956-D
3-1957
1957-D
2-1958
1958-D
several 2009--most with problems

I also tend to save memorials with strong luster and no problems. The definition of "strong" gets looser for 60's dates. Why? Because they're shiny {grin}

Yes, that's an unusually high LWC to cent ratio. Good for you for having that success after some time away!!

Well time to update! We found I believe 10 or 11 wheats in the two boxes we did and the oldest one we found was a 1909 (not v.d.b. or s, unfortunately :P). We also found about 8 canadian pennies and a dime! So we were up 9 cents! Woohoo!

Some nice finds, especially the 1909 (no matter how plain it is)!
