Out of the 8 rolls I have searched, I found 62 copper LMCs (15.5%) of which 11 were red (approx. 17.74% of the coppers), in addition to 4 copper Canadians and 2 wheats. Notable red dates: 59-D, 68-S, 69-S.

Rackster: My primary goal is pulling what I need to finish my Lincoln Collection. I also pull all wheaties and Canadians, as well as hoard copper LMCs. In terms of errors/varieties, I do a minimal search; I keep an eye out for the obvious errors (offset, blank planchet, etc) and check for things like the Wide and Close AMs, but I don't do a detailed search for errors

I have the memorials and shields done. I'm pretty well through the forties and fifties with wheaties, and have a start on the older ones

Sounds good sportsfan! You are entering into the tougher years and toughest years territory. Browse what Still Lookin found last year. A massive effort, but it had great return. While a complete Lincoln set from CRH is improbable (insided the toughest years area few that are nearly impossible) a greater percentage can be done with time, effort, and patience. Good luck on that effort!

And along with our fellow enthusiast Numisma, I encourage you to post your favorite/fun finds along the way including what you have already.

I sometimes get a few customer wrapped penny roll from various banks. A few days ago I received some very old-looking rolls and got all exited they contained 2 Canadian modern pennies and no wheats. Can someone explain how old these rolls are?

I'm sure I'll post some pics at some point. I've been CRHing off and on for about three years, and have followed this forum all along. I actually didn't realize I didn't have an account until the other day. I've also been a member of the stamp forum for some time

As you can see in my signature, I haven't been at it long and I've been too busy with school to do much. Some time soon I would like to get on a regular schedule and find a good dump bank. So far I've done nickels and halves with a few rolls of other denominations, but I want to get into cents more. There's no silver with them, but you can get a lot more keepers between copper and wheats.

Zac - I'm sure we all know that feeling. But if you stay at it long enough, old will equal old. A few months back, I picked up 5 rolls of OBW rolls from Cleveland (I'm in CT) all 1964 and 1964-D nickels. Not the best year to find full uncirculated rolls, but fun to get and search through for varieties.

Better luck next time!

The Portuguese 5c is a decent find. I'd take any coin from 1930 for a cent.
