Hi all,
Completed a box of pennies over the weekend. Yield was 11 Wheats, and 6 Canadians. Most notable find was a 1948 plain, which filled a hole in my son's folder.

The most notable is this Canadian cent I got which is the oldest Canadian cent I've found yet.

A nice mix.

Wheaties are always fun, no matter the date or quantity.

Decided to get 2 boxes of pennies for the weekend just to mix things up. Looks like my awesome wheat run has ended. Only got 6 wheats. 5 were '40-'58 and 1 was a 1934-D. Also got 5 Canadians (1978, 1983, 1984, 1992, 1998) and a Belize 1 cent from 2000 which I have never gotten before. It's got this really cool wavy rim. I really like it.

EDIT: Only done 1 box. Next one I'm saving for tomorrow.

Second box was significantly better. Got 10 40-58 wheats and 3 Canadians with the oldest being from 1969. Also got this lone 1935 wheat in really great shape.

Nice find CrazyCat. Any sub-40's wheaties in good shape are always exciting.

Anyways, I enjoy reading this thread, but haven't posted lately so here are some recent finds I had. I recently saw it took John1 over 4 million cents to find a blank planchet, so I consider myself lucky finding one on my 25th box. I don't know if they are rare, but they sure are hard to find. Then I also found a crazy purplish toner which is pretty nice eye candy.

Nice blank! Did you weigh it to determine if it is copper of zinc?

Thanks. I don't have a scale that is in grams so I just did the ping test. It sounds like an ordinary copper penny.
