Nice find Eric
Errors like that are always a great find.

Rackster, what do you mean by flattening the staples? Never heard anyone mention that before.

Hi CC - if you look at Eric's pictures, the staples still have the protruding curl on the staple ends. Flatten these with a pair of pliers or some other blunt object so that they are flush with the flip. If you leave them protruding, you run the risk of scratching another coin in a flip behind it when indexing/accessing your coins (especially if you put them into the sized boxes). I've damage a couple coins that way...a couple too many.

I found 1 pre-1959 dated cent yesterday in 10 rolls... and it wasn't a U.S. coin...

Hi all,
Did a box of pennies over the weekend, and came out with the best wheat total so far.

14 wheats (41D, 42, 44(2), 44D, 45, 45D, 46D (2), 48S, 53D, and (3) 57D's).

Also, 11 Canadians and this cool foreign:

After checking online, it is a 1996 50 Ore from Norway. Pretty fun find!

Not the NSF variety John, but a nice find. I don't think I have this date yet for my Canadian set.

Nice cluster dads.

Nice find!

I have found doubled dies, rpms, clips, lams, and all sorts of other errors and varieties, but I just can't seem to find one of these.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I recently went through 3 boxes of pennies and in those boxes I found:
A total of 25 wheats
A 2009 Swiss 10 rappen
1937 "woodie", also the oldest wheat I found
1952-S wheat with a possible Cud on the date
Two AU/MS wheats (1951-D and 1958-D)
Many Canadian pennies including the dates 1956, 1947 no maple leaf, and 1941.
I also found a 1943 Steel wheat and a Unc. Canadian 1963 5¢ piece.

EDIT: The steelie and the 5 cent were found in a coinstar machine.

1955 d and 1938.
