I'll take any wheats I find, crazy4ATB! Nice number on the 2009 coins. They are getting pretty scarce around here.

Check out this little 1921-S which popped out of a CWR this morning! The scan doesn't really do it justice. Grades out at F-15... A $5 coin at least! I'm not an expert at lamination errors, so it may be worth a little more.

And aristarchus, nice blank planchet find... I've still got just my one.

oooh that's a nice one...
weird that 09s are disappearing so fast. I think its crazy that you still find like 7-12 wheats per box usually. in 2017

And amazingly, I've now found two of those 21-S wheaties in the past few weeks... makes me wonder what the heck else is out there lurking!

Really great finds everybody! I found a 1910 yesterday! I'm sure this has been talked a lot about on here but I just need to here y'all opinion, I have over $10 worth of 2009 Cents and I want to know if their worth keeping? I've heard that all denominations of coins minted in 2009 are low mintage but I seem to find close to 5 or more in every box. Should I keep saving them or just toss them back in circulation?

Nice find on the 1910! As for the 2009 cents, I've been keeping all but the damaged ones. I have well over 1,000 of them now, but about 95% of them are Denvers. I'm planning on putting some rolls up on ebay soon just to see if I get any takers. The vast majority of mine grade AU/BU.

Nice 1910, frog! I would hold onto the 2009s. I was just on John Wexler's site looking at my haul (I rarely find any) and there are so many doubled die varieties to look for, but under high magnification. I really don't see how people are seeing doubling in the White House windows!

I'm a fifth through a box sealed and stamped April 03 2015. Three wheats, zero 2009s. Couple of die cracks. I'll wait until I'm through the box and get a group shot of the wheaties.

Here's a lamination error from a batch last week.

Pulled this out of bank roll today! I've heard about these, seen pictures of same, on Claude's excellent Lincoln Penny site . .

But to find it unexpectedly was kind of a cheap thrill!

There seems to be a glob of hardened clear epoxy on the reverse as well.

Found these today. Any guesses on the 1955 wheat. Somethings not right with Lincolns mouth. Is the 1970s a small or large date? Thanks for your help.

My last box was pretty good, 13 wheats including a 1937 s, and a 1979 clear s proof.

Nice finds, illegaltender!

cldague, your 1970-S is the large date variety. The top of the 7 is lower than the 9 and the 0.... I recently found one, if you want to compare. Also note how the tip of the 9 curls in and how weak the word LIBERTY and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST are.
