Nice going on your first century old find! If you review this thread, you'll be amazed at all the oddities we've found CRH. I've found plastic knockouts, silver bars, and foreign gold. Magicians coins, batteries, and metal slugs. If it fits...it gets rolled!

Today's box of MWRs yielded seven wheat cents. Only seven, but they were:1929-P, 1930-D, 1930-S, 1942-S, 1949-D, 1955-D, and 1948-P. I don't find too many mint-marked coins from the 30s, so I am pleased, and both were upgrades for my coin folder.

Thanks, Druu! I was pretty surprised to see it. They are out there, apparently! I hope you find one soon.

I'm surprised you found one in a circulated roll! I even get tempted to open the shiny new 2016s I picked up last week. (Grocery store bank was low on pennies, so they directed me to customer service, who sold me five bucks worth.) Is there an increased find rate in uncirculated rolls? I don't see any bulges which would indicate extreme off center strikes, but I had a hope for a planchet.
