aristarchus123 Pillar of the Community United States 1696 Posts	Posted 03/05/2017 9:24 pm I went through another box of cents this weekend and found 14 LWCs and also a Panamanian cent. The two best finds were a 1916 (101 years old!) and 1937-S (a hole filler!).This is much better than a recent box that just yielded 3 LWCs. Report this Post to the Staff

I've been through about 300,000 cents in the last 12 months, and just last night I found my first 1948-S. It is by no means a hard-to-find coin, judging from mint production numbers. I've been wanting to fill that hole for a while in my coin folder, and I have no idea why it has taken so long to find this one. Anyway, here it is! Report this Post to the Staff

bd251 Pillar of the Community United States 1864 Posts	Posted 03/09/2017 2:33 pm So I picked up $10 in cents on my lunch break today and quickly glanced through some rolls. Two were the type that is open on one end and folded on the other. The first roll ends were a really nice 1972 on the open end and a 2009 (obverse) on the other. So far so good. Poured it out and it was a bunch of really nice coppers with several S-mints. Also had some pretty nice Zincolns. The other roll was a normal looking 1988 on the open side and a 1944 on the other. First three coins out of the roll were wheats (44, 38, 48)! This roll had a 7 2009's and one more wheat(1934). Those were the only two of that type of roll I got, so I might go back after work and see if they have more. Nothing exciting in the other rolls, although I need to look for WAMs. I'll try to get some pics tonight! Report this Post to the Staff

aristarchus123 Pillar of the Community United States 1696 Posts	Posted 03/09/2017 5:57 pm Whhhoooaaaah X 2 !! The box just yielded at 2nd IHC! The first was 1906 and the second is 1900. Crazy times! I have a few rolls left, and I'll give a final update with a close up of the coins tonight. UPDATE: Here's #3 from the box: 1904!
