Thanks, aristarchus. Yes, will likely just use some of my sister's nail polish remover tomorrow when I see her... Believe it or not, it's only the 3rd oldest one I've found this past year-ish of CRH. An 1889 and 1891 beat it... and it's only the 4th oldest coin I've found (1887 V nickel). And Dual-brain, I smelled it.  By the way, silica gel is very tasty.  CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Nice Cud on the 1976 cent! I've never found an 1911. Great box! Quote: it's only the 3rd oldest one I've found this past year-ish of CRH. Very nice Cud, sich0015! And thanks, aristarchus123! Been surprised to find 3 pre-1900 Indians so far... It was lying face up when it fell out of the roll, and I had to look twice at the date because I couldn't believe it was a 1937. In hand, this coin is red, a very nice looking wheat to come from a circulated roll.  Congrats on 1000 posts John77! Edited by cwb

In hand, this coin is red, a very nice looking wheat to come from a circulated roll.
Congrats on 1000 posts John77! Lucky you... all but one red wheatie I've found in the wild has been from the 1950s (I found a red 1944 last year)... And thanks on the 1,000 posts...
