Went through $200.00 worth of customer wrapped pennies this week plus a brinks box. Found an 1897 indian head in the brinks box in vf 20 (would have graded ef 40 but has a nick on it's edge). Out of the customer stuff I found a half roll of wheats and lots of copper and maybe 200 bu zincs. Not bad for a little roll searching. Don't think I will be repeating that this week though. Maybe a box or two though..... Sincerely, John Leckrone

I think we have a foreclosure in the neighborhood. Don't know how the banks would put up with two of us. I am in central KY. I also look through 4 or 5 boxes a week. I just kept a count through 2 rolls of cents and found 21 in each roll that contained a mint mark. I really don't think that there are any more WAMs here than elsewhere. I seems that it takes a couple of years for the Denver coins to really get into circulation here. Before that they are fairly even distributed. For some reason we will occasionally even get a Denver mint boxes here. I think that the banks here actually get their coins from Cincinnati (BadThad's area).

I'm in western KY and that is pretty much the story here. I did find my first WAM a few months ago...the 99! I have found no others. I go through two to three boxes a week and find many 60-64 Lincolns that someone seemed to have taken out of their personal collection the day before and I cannot believe how MS they look...wonder what is going on there. I found 24 1964D's in one box that I am certain will grade MS63 and higher...I know someone is missing some nice coins from their collection!

I seem to have stumbled across someones "copper-dump" today. I managed to buy $50 worth of customer-wrapped rolls from a local bank today. I'm finding many full rolls of pre '82 pure copper! There's lots and lots of S-mints, along with a bunch of uncirculated copper!

I found these 2 guys tonight. Cool chip in the date on the '57D, might even be an RPM. It's a little dirty, I'll have to check it out a little closer. The one on the right is a '46P. Not sure what to make of the O in ONE. There are some "ripples" from PLURIBUS and on through the ONE that resemble a lamination error, but I'm not sure. I'm going to get some better close ups and post it on the error forum.

Quote: You always seem to get lucky! Congrats! I only wish it were "always". I'm no luckier than the next guy. I'm just unusually quiet when I'm going through the lousy boxes. I now owe another box of cookies to the merchant-tellers at my local BofA though. I just finished dumping $40+ there...and picking up a brinks box. The two tellers there handed me 4 lincolns they'd found. 2 56d's, a 58d, and a 27p.
