I've had this sitting on my desk for a week. It's just neat-o looking. Surely it was cut somehow post mint, but just such a neat job of it. Not tin snips or similar as the cuts seem to come down quite parallel not angled.

Anyway, it's 3.24g so about Three Cents worth of a nickel.

It reminds me of this British decimal penny I found with my metal detector in a local park. It had obviously been lying on the surface when the municipal lawnmower came along!
