I am going to guess it is a medal from Canada commemorating the 21st Birthday of Princess Diana of Wales which would have been in 1982.

Thanks for the post but the Latin? on the front and back says "I serve, never yield / surrender". Would that be on a commemorative coin for a 21 year old princess?

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, I just really don't know about coins, royalty etc. Thanks for your effort though :)

The Princess of Wales' Own Regiment (PWOR) is a Primary Reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Forces.

I'd like to offer an alternative view on the medal...

I agree with TNG that it is Canadian in origin, but I don't believe it is a 1982 commemorative for Princess Diana. Considering the long history of the unit, I believe the "21" seen on the medal refers to the regiment's celebrated 21st Battalion. Possibly a challenge "coin" from the regiment

Just my thoughts...

I sure do bet you're right. https://pwor.ca/museum/21st-battalion-history/

I posted that guess because I found this medal.

Thank you as well Commems. I spent another couple of hours looking the internet over and I think it's a challenge coin as well.
