This was first documented by Zoell in his 1968 catalogue of minor varieties. I do realize that this is only a die chip, but for some reason, it is a popular variety. It is also a very tough one to find. I finally found one in decent mint state condition (red-brown).

That's a nice example, I have been searching for one of these myself. I think the popularity comes from how round and smooth the chip looks as it can almost pass as something that was done "on purpose" but obviously is not the case.

Nice find none the less!
