Looks like faint doubling directly underneath the eye.

Not sure if it matches WDDO-009, but it was the closest one I could find.

Also seems to be some sort of plating issue on the reverse perhaps? What do you guys think?

Might be the one. Can you see any of the markers under LIBERTY or above the N (CENT)?

How about images of the areas mentioned above?

Not sure, this one is pretty worn out.

See if you can make anything of these images:

Look at the top of the N to see if it matches the image at DD. Rotate your coin to catch the light at different angles. Does yours have a semi-circular die scratch? (Which is the marker, I think.)

EDIT: The marker at the N (CENT) might actually be a die dot east of and close to the top right leg of the N (in line with the top of the "T")

I'm afraid that I don't see either.

There is a chance they could've been worn over with age, or it's a different die stage. Or it could simply not be WDDO-009.

Hm...what do you think?

Whatever the case, it is definitely a Doubled eye.

Cheers That Coin Dude.

I'm still curious what's going on with the reverse in the second image. I've seen that type of error before but the name has slipped my mind. Some sort of struck through? I've forgotten.

EDIT: Wonder if there's a chance this might be a new one as it doesn't perfectly match any on Wexler's.

It would probably need a better example. I keep it safe for now and see if anything comes up about this one. You might get a large image show and send them to John to see what he thinks? But a fresher coin state would be a better one for image purposes. But more images of the devices showing the same directional affect could rule out MD. There is also a FS-101 listing that shows not that area affected but other areas affected:

You might check that one out? (The date is affected)

Hm alright thanks Coop.

The devices seem like they may be a tad effected, but not by much, not as much as the FS-101 that is.

I'll keep ahold of this one for now, and once I get better photography equipment, I'll post it again.
