A very special friend sent this to me this week. I just love the snowy owl and this is really a gorgeous set! Guess I'm officially a "graysider" now!

I bought three sets from the Canadian Mint, and my daughter also bought three sets.

We like them very much.

I purchased the sets to get the Snowy Owl dollar! While things have settled down a bit I have seen the Snowy sell for $40 to $50 bucks on ebay already! I can't wait for the set to sell out! They will be keepers then!!! Love the Owl!
I even went one step farther and bought a single Owl that had been busted out of the set! That one will stay with me regardless what the sets do!

I'm still debating the Australian collecting. The coins are beautiful...there's no doubt about that. I think I might be partial to the older coinage, though.

I appreciate the offer of the Euro, but I don't think it will go with what I have in mind. Just be patient. I'll be there soon.

Pretty set.
I really like the way the Candian mint has branched out some in their coinage. My only "beef" is that they have so many different offerings, an average collector can't keep track, or afford to buy them all. For those who want the owl, it is only available in the specimen set, and mintage is limited to 40,000.

Well we could just buy them all and corner the market on the Snowy Owl?
