Hello, I can't figure this one out. It weighs 1.5g and the planchet is very thin. Since the dies were set to strike at a certain spacing, how could this be fairly well struck? Any answers would be greatly appreciated!
Coin was soaked in acid. Removes material fairly uniformly leaving details mostly intact but the rims gets removed from the outside and the coin gets much thinner, exactly as shown on your coin. Fairly common.
