I am looking for opinions on this dime being a DDO and possibly a DDR. I am looking at the lettering in LIBERTY primarily, though on the reverse it looks like some doubling on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Thank you for feedback!!

A bit hard to tell from your pictures but it does seem to be some Machine Doubling (MD). Maybe even a bit of glare making the tops of the letters to look doubled also.

They are supposed to have an 'S', but some that year didn't:
1970-Dime-DDO-And-Possible-DDR?
Thus my question as whether is was a proof coin or not?

From the appearance, this could very well be an impaired proof!

This is from a United States Mint Coinage 35 year Collection 1963-1997 that I split. I also have a 1966 set of the same collection, however I cannot find them on the US Mint website. I'm still a novice, that loves to buy coins from the local antique store.
I am working on trying to get quality scanned photos, I cannot seem to get the quality of pics out of this iPhone 11 Pro Max. I will also snap some from my microscope.
I just now have time to get back to this coin. Thank you everyone!!

Your photos are absolutely fine! I'm not sure how you think you can improve them, they show the coin extremely well!

I tried to magnify and use arrows to better show what I am seeing when looking at this coin.

With the magnification on the letters in question do you see it being a DD coin? I tried scanning the coins, however the images were not very good.
