Just pulled this out of a roll. It's a tapered planchet but the whole coin seems thin-rolled and pretty light for just the little bit of tapering.

Nice visual effect on that one. So that was in a solid date roll of BU coins?
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

Yeah, a regular BU roll. 1953 rolls tend to be like this coin, spotty and hazy and that's what they all pretty much looked like but two that were maybe close to 66. I don't pull for grade so whoever gets the roll next will get two nice surprises. But odd that this was the only coin with this error so maybe not an all original roll but one put together from bits and pieces.

I used to do a lot of contests, but honestly it has been quite a while. Good to think about starting back at that.
