I was given these dollars (with original bank paper roll) after going through some of my family old things. They have never been circulated and were kept in a plastic sleeve. As seen in the pictures the first dollar (374) was cut wrong and ripped. The second dollar (373) is cut right but has the back side of the dollar on the front and is printed over. After looking at different dollar errors on the internet I have not seen anything similar. I was kind of wondering what something like this might be worth. Thanks!

I believe this is a partial offset error.

But the ripped dollar is part of the offset error, no?

It looks that way to me as well. Interesting pair of notes

Apparently, the missing part of the torn note (374) was ripped off prior to printing the reverse, which caused part of the reverse print to print onto the next note in line (373).

I think that, at auction, your two bill combination might bring quite a lot of money.

If not, it is, at least, a terrific conversation piece.

Just my humble opinion.

Cool pair. The torn sheet made the ink intended for the sheet to end up on the impression cylinder, similar to an offset error.. And then, up to ten sheets after this would have a partial offset error printed on them gradually getting lighter and lighter. Get them into some currency sleeves and consider getting them graded.

They are very nice notes. Both should be kept together. I am sure the PMG will grade and encapsulate both notes in the same holder. You should take some nice high resolution photos of the note over lapping before submitting cause you will not be able to after.

This is a super cool find! To echo others, keep them both and keep them together, I'm not a currency collector but these tell a story together, but if you separate them they're just a cool error bill and a ripped bill.
