Hi guys, going through my pile of duplicate 5 cent coins of Australia, found these two.

2008-5-Cent-Coins,-Double-Punching?

If you look closely, there is like a rim line on the right side of the Queen's effigy like a mule line, but the coins can't be any smaller than 5 cents unless it was an unchanged die from the 2006 1 cent reissue. Both coins are near UNC - is this an error or am I clutching at straws?

I seem to recall this being discussed previously ... I'll see if I can locate the thread.
Is there a double rim on the reverse as well?

I found the thread but since it is so old there are now no photos available to view http://goccf.com/t/91983

There is however some more current info to be found here http://www.coincuriosity.com/view/2...t-piece.html

Coaster - Yes, double rim for coin on left, not for coin on right.
