I am not sure that coin in genuine.

Is there some odd damage in the "D ST" portion of "United States". Or poor production? A stain? Looks off to me.

Also I have looked at other 1921s dollars and the s in the others is more equidistant between the D and the O. Maybe that is a picture angle issue, or maybe the mint had some variance.

Could be worth a specific gravity test, magnetic resistance test, be put on scale.

This is the weight on this morgan ive seen that its acceptable but not definite to decide purely on weight. It is not worn so weighing less would have been the problem here.

So weight is right. Chinese forgers make copies of even common dates though. That is a good spot for magnetic resistance test.

All you need is a strong magnet and help distinguish silver from copper nickel core coins. Passes that test, and it is most likely silver and real.

the obverse looks like is an old cleaning and somewhat retoned

the reverse is in pretty bad shape. from k10 to k4 the fields are all chopped up and scratched. looks like an abrasive cleaning.
