Tried to research if the same dies were used for both silver and gold coins. Seem to be some gold pieces on the rev of this coin. Just wondering. Thanks

Yellowish glare or toning off of some copper flakes on the surface?

2014 is the only year I know of when the US mint made a gold version of the Kennedy half.

yes I saw that. I was not sure if they just changed working dies between gold and silver strikes where some fragments could still be in the same press. Don't think it is copper. Much brighter under the scope. Thanks

Seems to be tiny nicks in the clad layer that exposes the copper core.

could be Roth but these chips appear to me to be sticking out rather than a nick or scratch. Thanks

Ok, then something pressed into the coins surface during minting?
