hi I have a 1953 unc or near unc licon cent. that for me is a lamination error. Can please someone help me and let me know that it is a lamination error. How much it cost?
This is actually a 'delamination' since the laminated piece is missing. Lamination is a flaking effect of the metal on the coin because it did not bond with the rest of the planchet. Delamination is when the laminated piece falls off and goes missing.
These have very little, if any, value because they are very common and quite easy to find.
