I showed an interest in this coin as it was "unresearched", and have since been made an offer. It looks very similar to the Thrace, Apollonia Pontika coins, and the weight appeared to be near at 3.6 gr.

On first sight it looked as if the image was over exposed, but the surface looks too smooth with no discolouration whatsoever, and a washed concrete appearance. On checking I found the seller is named in the Augustuscoins fake sellers list.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't touch it. The sellers' listing on Warren's site says it all.

For comparison to a kosher one:

For me too, definitely a fake. Instead of the usual crayfish, this one looks more like an insect (an ant?). Everything here looks bad

Thanks Bob and ancient67. It just didn't seem right, and I won't be taking up the offer.
