I have this coin that appears to be from the Sultanate of Malwa. What confuses me is the date. Looks to be AH 960, ie 1552-53 AD. At that time, it was governed by Shujaat Khan, under Sher Shah Suri. I've been unable to find any examples of that particular ruler. In case I've misread the date and the tiny dot in the middle is a 0, then the date translates to 906, the period of Nasir Shah's rule. Unfortunately I've also been unable to find an example of this type issued by Nasir Shah.

Nowhere, I don't see the number 960 - do you read 965?

If it is 965, it would fall under the coinage of Muhammad bin muzaffar, but sadly, coins in his name were struck till 964 only.

This is a Malwa falus in the name of Bahadur Shah of Gujarat who occupied the area from 1537. The date is 940 with a retrograde "4". Gordon & Goenka M206.
