Concerns About This Syro-Phoenician Tetradrachm?

Let's hope that 2021 will be definitely better! At the Menu, before the New Year Eve Menu,a syro-phoenician tetradrachm (23 mm, 7,81 g) with Nero. Any ideas about the mint? What are your thoughts about its authenticity? It is not my usual area of expertise (if I may use such a big word)... Best wishes to all! Report this Post to the Staff

The inside of the edge split does not show any signs of tensile metal distress. It is probable that it may have been the location for the injection point for a casting. The foot of the casting sprue looks as it has been tooled away to resemble a split. Report this Post to the Staff
