Hm, only $6 according to the PCGS... tell you what, since I'm such a nice guy, I'll split the difference and give you $7 for it

My total investment so far ... auction hammer price $8, PCGS certification and slabbing (mint error $40, $5 handling, roundtrip shipping $30) $75 = $83 ... not gonna go for your offer.

Bio ... it is red between those copper-nickel sheets.

Why? Did you expect them to call it RB or BN? All high grade coins that are normally copper are given one of those designations, even steel cents.

Yeah, that may be true Conder but it defies all logic to call a non-copper coin(regardless of whether it was meant to be copper or not) RD, RB, or BN since it cannot possibly be any of those colors.

I'm sure if you place it on PayBay, you should get more than $6 for it. Don't think you'll get close to your investment price though.................who knows, it IS PayBay anyway. Probably make some money only to spend some on the fees. Keep the coin.

By the way.... nice find.

Coop,

Can you extract that. I can only see a little box with a red X.

Fred Weinberg has at least one LMC on a clad dime planchet in MS63 (not an 80-D) for around $350.

Coop, That's a limitation on my end. At work they block all photo-sharing/hosting sites (inkfrog, photobucket, etc.) so all I see is that little box with the red x. That's about 75% of what's posted here and a little frustrating. I checked it out when I got home last night. Thanks.
