Searching through circulated pocket coins, I came across a 1982 d small date penny. As I was looking at it I noticed the bottom of Lincoln's chin was Square, and there was numbers in it. I believe the last # is actually a (s) in further review I started to notice other defects. Bubbles on neck line of beard. New to the coin hobby. Looking for insight on this.

@haze, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes a close-up pic of the area of interest would be useful. I do note that plating bubbles are pretty common with copper-plated zinc cents and would not increase the value of the coin.

And those plating bubbles were prevalent in the early years while the mint ironed out the kinks in the new process of using copper plated zinc cents.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
