Edit: Pretty sure it is Machine Doubling now that I've looked into it more.

Found this in some pocket change a while back and saved it because of the proof aspect but I never looked at it until recently. It definitely looks like doubling to me but I have 0 experience with error identification. I would really appreciate some info if anyone has any. Nothing showed up when I googled.

@a1a, first welcome to CCF. Second, that step-like doubling looks like Machine Doubling to me too. I will say that it is very clear on this example even if it doesn't add to the value of the coin.
