The eyelid probably looks doubled because the shield cents generally had unclear details. The eyelid became enlarged looking for a lot of the dies. You're most likely seeing Machine Doubling or lighting doubling. Very common with these shield cents. I'm afraid it's only worth 1 cent. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/11/2021 1:23 pm The marks on UNUM are damage to the coin. They are not as deep as these incuse devices on the EPU. When the damage is deep enough, it can be seen on the incuse devices. Sometimes takes rotating the image 90 degrees to see the incuse view. Report this Post to the Staff
