Don't forget the possibility of the numismatic value of junk silver, particularly World junk silver.
I had been cherry picking any junk silver from dealers' junk boxes for more than 30 years, attempting to get best value for money ASW value. Accumulated about 500 silver coins.
About 5 years ago, when silver in junk boxes started to become poorer value for money, and was scarcer to find, I decided to review my World Junk silver stash, and form it into a numismatic collection instead.
Now, the numismatic value of the collection is much greater than the ASW value.
And a very interesting collection as well - bonus

These days, I am cherry picking World base metal coins before about 1950, from dealers' junk boxes, that are interesting and in EF or better condition. They will eventually compliment, and be integrated into my silver collection.
