What would be an estimated value on this 1955 D penny with a large Cud on the forehead.

Congrats, That is a nice big fat die break.

Technically a Cud is on the edge of the coin: Pretty much the same thing but yours is in the middle

Estimated value: on ebay the sky is the limit. Depends on how you market it.

Cuds on Coins no longer lists these as IDB's and instead uses DC die chip. Furthermore, they aren't listing DC's unless in unusual positions.

I tried submitting a 1970 D which is similar to yours.

Good size chip.

If I remember correctly the IDB need to be 4 sq. mm (2mmx2mm)

For a quick reference, the Memorial cent columns on the building are 1mm apart.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I would list this over a "spiked head" die crack any day. Not sure why most of the things on there are listed. To each his own I guess
