This is a reproduction made in England, evidenced by the WRL logo

It is not a genuine coin but a modern reproduction.

"WRL" stands for 'Westair Reproductions Ltd', a leading supplier of museum reproductions in Birmingham, UK.

I make a point of collecting WRL's, if I can get them for next to nothing. Just add them to my collection of fake ancient coins.
Nevertheless, they DO make up an interesting series in their own right.

Westair reproductions are good quality. Their prominent initials make them a perfectively legitimate educational tool.

Exactly.
My son's teacher was talking about the Romans. The next day, he took a few WRL coins to school to illustrate what the teacher had been talking about. His classroom friends were able handle the coins with their grubby little fingers, and I was not worried if one or two of the coins never made it back into my collection.
