I recently reinvigorated my interest in coin collecting after having taken three years off due to Hurricane Katrina. I am getting to enjoy it again. However, this morning, I went to my bank and asked about half dollars. The teller told me that they had just shipped out a bunch of them yesterday and there were none in the tills.

A few minutes ago my son came over to the house. He is an officer at that bank branch. I asked him about what the teller had said to me. He said "Oh, no! I should have thought about you. We just shipped a whole bunch out yesterday. Several bags. They had been sitting in our vault for forever. - Several years!"

The halves went too the Federal Reserve and he cannot retrieve them. I wonder what was in that shipment. Wish I had asked last week instead of this one.

Come to think of it, I'm going to order two bags of halves on Monday. Might get them from the same batch. Who knows?

. Look forward, not back. There is always a coulda-woulda-shoulda!
You will get your hands on some silver eventually.

I say order those bags now if you have not already! Do not let them get too far away!
