Ok I can see this is a type 2 but not sure if it is business strike or a proof that fell into distribution. Lots of action. Note the die crack on the w side of the eagle's feathers and the lam below the S in trust. These are fun to find for me. Rich

Thks to all. Yes I agree that it is not proof. It is actually more rare if it is a business strike with the type 2 proof eagle on the rev. Good news then. R

Probably a retired proof die put back to work striking more halves. Thus a Type 2.
